Review
"ALONE" tells the story of Pim who moved from Thailand to Korea to escape the guilt of being the surviving half of a conjoined twin. Flashbacks to Pim's childhood show how the bittersweet relationship with her sister, and their commitment to stay together forever, transforms into a repressive bond that ultimately leads to a separation. After she returns to visit her dying mother, the spirit of her dead sister angrily thrusts herself into Pim's life.

Sinopsis
Film ini dibuka dengan segmen bertajuk “Novice,” menceritakan kisah menegangkan tentang seorang pria remaja yang harus membayar sebuah dosa besar dengan sangat mengenaskan. Sementara efek suara dan musik latarnya udah sanggup mendirikan bulu roma dan menjembatani kita masuk ke adegan2 horornya, kisah ini akan membawa kita masuk jauh ke dalam rimba dalam kekelaman malam, dimana makhluk2 halus bebas berkeliaran. Aktor remaja Jirayu La-Ongmanee (The Legend of King Naresuan) tampil bersinar di peran utama perdananya, terutama dalam adegan dimana dengan tanpa berdaya dia memohon pengampunan atas dosa2nya. Menurut gue, segmen ini juga merupakan karya terbaik sutradara Paween Purijitpanya yang seblumnya menggarap “Body # 19” dan segmen bertajuk “Tit For Tat” di “Phobia”. Ciri khasnya yang selalu menyajikan efek CGI pada kemunculan sosok hantu dan sinematografi yang unik, berpadu dengan sangat baik disini. “Novice” mungkin adalah segmen paling menyeramkan di “Phobia 2” dan menjadi pembuka yang sangat efektif sekali.

Cerita pendek kedua, “Ward”, mengajak kita ikut merasakan bagaimanakah rasanya berada di dalam sebuah kamar rawat rumah sakit bersama seorang pasien koma tidur di sebelah kita. Adalah Arthit (Dan Worrawech) seorang pemuda yang mengalami patah kedua kakinya akibat kecelakaan motor. Dia harus dirawat dalam ruangan yang sama dengan seorang kakek2 yang sudah mengalami kondisi koma cukup lama. Tapi malam itu, sang pemuda merasa bila si kakek sebenarnya tidak sepenuhnya tidak sadar, sebab dia yakin akan hadirnya makhluk lain di dalam ruangan yang gelap dan sepi itu. Memiliki durasi terpendek dari lima kisah pendek lainnya, cerita “Ward” terasa kurang dari segi detil dan harusnya bisa diperkaya dengan munculnya sedikit diskusi tentang pertentangan antara ilmu pengetahuan dan takdir di tengah masyarakat modern Thailand. Meskipun masih cukup menegangkan untuk dinikmati tapi segmen ini terasa sekali sangat buru2 dihabiskan.

Review
MEAT GRINDER takes you to taste the bizarre horror of traditional noodle recipe cooked by Boot, a woman who owns a noodle stall, a unique noodle stall.

Boot has been living with tension and stress for all of her life, she works hard for her family as a noodle cook. Sometimes, she is controlled by a mysterious voice that suggests her to do or not to do things. One day, she encounters a chaos in town and is rescued by a guy named Attapol who later becomes her companion. That evening after the chaos, Bus surprisingly discovers a guy lying dead under her stall, she discreetly looks at him and comes up with her new recipe. Bus begins to slice his flesh, mix it with spices, and throw it into her noodle pot.

After her secret recipe is introduced, Boot gains so many customers and reputation of her delicious noodle. Meanwhile, the haunting voice still keeps talking to her, and tell her what to do. Boot tactfully starts to lure and murder people. The more she kills, the more of her dark side reveals. And when Attapol begins to suspect Boot's behavior, he stumbles on the evil of her as he is now the hunted.

Review

In Bangkok, the groom Mak is scared, having successive nightmares with a ghost woman, Mae Nak, an ancient Thai legend. He meets his beloved fiancée Nak to visit an old house in Phrakhanong with the unscrupulous real state agent Angel and they decide to buy the property.



After their wedding, two small time thieves break into the house and steal their gifts and other objects. When Mak sees the criminals on the streets of Bangkok selling his goods, he chases the burglars and they run their van over Mak, who gets into a deep coma.



Mae Nak protects the young couple against Angel and the burglars, but in return she holds the soul of Mak. Nak finds the remains of Mae Nak in an ancient cemetery, and with some monks, they exorcise Mae Nak from Mak and release her spirit.
