Review
Deep in the jungle of a remote island in the Pacific lives a new breed of mutant snake. In Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Colleen Hess, the wife of local priest Reverend Graham Hess, dies a horrific death in a traffic accident. After the accident, Graham denounces his faith and his vocation to work full time on his farm. His brother, Merrill, a former minor league baseball player known more for his batting brawn than his finesse, moves into the farmhouse to assist his brother in looking after Graham's two adolescent children, asthmatic son Morgan and daughter Bo, who has a finicky taste for water.

Six months after the accident, crop circles appear in Graham's corn field. They initially speculate that local trouble-making youth could be the culprits. However they learn that theirs is only one of a number of crop circles made simultaneously worldwide. In addition, animals have been acting erratically. Morgan and Bo seem to have a better sense of what is happening than the adults. Based on other evidence, the family slowly begins to believe that the crop circles are only one of many signs being sent by extraterrestrials. Not knowing if the extraterrestrials are friendly or not, the Hesses take extreme precautions to protect themselves. Graham also begins to believe that nothing that happens is by chance, and that everything has a reason.

REC revolves around a television reporter, Ángela Vidal (Manuela Velasco), and her cameraman, Pablo (only his trainers are shown, Pablo Rosso), who cover the night shift in one of Barcelona's local fire stations for the fictional documentary television series Mientras ustedes duermen (While You Sleep).

The firehouse receives a call from an apartment building about a woman who is trapped. When Manu (Ferrán Terraza) and Álex (David Vert) arrive, the police break down the door, with Ángela and Pablo recording their actions. The woman becomes extraordinarily aggressive and bites one of the policemen. Meanwhile, the terrified residents gather in the entrance hall, and look on as the police and military seal off the building. The firefighter who remained at the old lady's apartment is bitten and tossed down the stairs.

The camera crew, the remaining cop (Jorge Yaman) and the second firefighter go up again and are attacked. The cop apparently kills the old lady with a shot, which is confirmed by Ángela who asks Pablo to rewind and replay that part of the tape. The camera crew remain trapped inside the building with the residents, and continue recording in spite of police pressure. Ángela interviews a little girl named Jennifer (Claudia Silva) who lives with her parents and dog in the building. Jennifer is ill with what her mother (María Lanau) claims is tonsilitis. She says her dog, Max, is at the veterinarian because he appeared to be sick as well.

In the midst of the Antartican snowfield, the scientists and workers of a small American research base are shocked when a helicopter begins to circle their camp, chasing and shooting at a dog. When the helicopter is destroyed and the passenger's are killed by accident, the dog is let into the base and the American's begin to wonder what has actually happened. The helicopter is discovered to be of Norweigan make, and probably linked to the Norweigan base not too far from their own.

Helicopter pilot J.R MacReady offers to travel to the Norweigan base and find out what has happened. On arrival, he finds that the place has been totally destroyed. He also discovers a mangled body that looks as though it was once that of a person, which he brings back with him to study. It is only then that the clues begin to add up; the dog morphs horribly into a strange creature that attacks the researchers.

They manage to fight it off, but the base's doctor has come to a conclusion: an alien with the power to transform and take the appearance of anybody else is amongst them. Who is infected already, and who can be trusted? J.R MacReady sets out to find the answers to exactly that.

Ask a number of producers around Chungmuro what their most pressing concern is at the moment, and the answers might actually be surprising. There's likely to be quite a good and different number of ideas, but all the roads more or less lead to Rome. That is, trying to understand the mind of those with the time and money to visit the theater, every now and then, perhaps as a prelude to petting. That magic word, teenager, which can make or break today's Korean films regardless of their quality or subject.

With Korean Cinema's Hollywood syndrome reaching its zenith, not only you're starting to see companies mount the offensive almost all on the first opening weekend, particularly for those films that need to sell 4-5 million tickets to break even. But, in the last two-three years, something Korean producers rarely cared about started happening more and more: trying to avoid the maligned "18 and over" rating. Films like 무방비 도시 (Open City), 비스티 보이즈 (The Moonlight of Seoul) and many more were "18-rated" to begin with, but cut some touchy edges to reach every possible wallet, particularly that of those ever elusive teenagers. With only one film out of ten breaking even, it's not surprising they'd try that.

The film begins with a house at night. The owners, Larry and Gena Wharton (Diane Goldner), come home from a night of drinking. While Gena goes upstairs, Larry stays downstairs to read some mail. However, he finds that the lights dont work. Gena calls out for him, and so he rushes upstairs. In their bedroom they find a big red box. Larry assumes one of the workers mustve left it. On top of the box is the message for the collection. The box suddenly moves. Larry opens the box and is shocked to find whats inside. A hand suddenly reaches out and grabs Larry.

After the opening credits, we see another two-story house having some construction. Among the workers are an exterminator and a man named Arkin (Josh Stewart). The family living in the house is Michael (Michael Reilly Burke), his wife Victoria (Andrea Roth), their teenage daughter Jill (Madeleine Zima), and their little girl Hannah (Karley Scott Collins). Michael asks for Arkin to finish putting bars on the windows today.

While outside, Arkin smokes a cigarette while putting up the remaining bars. After he finishes, Michael pays Arkin for his work and throws in a little extra for Arkins daughter Cindy. Michael tells him to cherish his daughter, since they get all weird once they hit their teens. Arkin thanks him and drives off.

Lagi, film bergenre horor kembali disajikan Imagine Pictures. Film berjudul ‘Pocong Jalan Blora’ ini mengangkat kebenaran sebuah fenomena penampakan di jalan Blora. Film yang dibintangi Arumi Bachsin ini cukup menegangkan, terlebih saat teror pocong menyerang mereka satu persatu. Cerita bermula saat rasa keingintahuan Sandra, Mei, Josh dan Joe mengenai keberadaan penampakkan pocong di Jalan Blora akhirnya terjawab.



Mereka akhirnya harus menerima diteror bertubi – tubi oleh sang hantu hingga hidup mereka tidak tenang lagi sepulang dari tempat itu. Suatu hari Sandra mendatangi tempat tinggal Mei, tapi hal yang mengejutkan menimpa Sandra, ternyata yang membukanya adalah orang yang tidak ia kenal bernama Hilda. Sandra mulai berpikir kalau Mei telah hilang, hal ini diperkuat oleh keterangan Fredi, kekasih Mei yang mengaku tidak pernah bertemu dengan Mei setelah pulang dari Blora.

An exuberant third year high school class is taking a cultural field trip to Seoul, Korea. All are there except for a notable one or two students; Notable, that is, for being the class outcasts and objects of class scorn and ridicule. One such student is Asuka (Maki Horikita), who recalls nothing but cruel bullying at the hands of her classmates. And those classmates that did not actively participate in the bullying simply watched quietly from the sidelines. Another missing student is Pamu, who was recently found hanging by the neck at the school. She apparently committed suicide following the continued mistreatment she received from her classmates.



Asuka was at the school the night Pamu hung herself and discovered the body. As school personnel took Pamu down, her phone fell from her pocket, a momento which Asuka picked up and kept.



During the boat ride from Kyushu to the Korean Peninsula, one student's phone rings with an unfamiliar tone. (To those having seen the prior two prequels, the tone is hardly unfamiliar!) The phone indicates that the call is from Pamu, but the message left is of the student's own voice. Attached is a photo of the student hung by the neck. The date and time of the call is listed as having come from the following day, as if she called herself from tomorrow.



Needless to say that something terrible befalls the student involving hanging from the neck while uttering the same exact words as were on the phone message. Then another student's phone rings, a similarly strange message is left followed by an equally dismal fate, and soon the students are convinced that the dead spirit of Pamu has cursed them to die one by one, signaled only by the strange call. They begin to take seriously the phone's message that if they do not forward the call to another of their friends, they will surely die.



Then all hell breaks loose. What they all thought were friendships quickly dissolve into suspicious chaos as no one trusts anyone else. The one receiving a call must decide to whom he/she will forward the curse, amounting to a death sentence for a classmate. The others decide it is better to take things into their own hands than wait around to see who will be handed such a cursed fate. Friend turns upon friend, victim turns upon bully, and all the while calls continue to stream in from Pamu's phone.

Reiko Asakawa is researching into a 'Cursed Video' interviewing kids about it. When her niece Tomoko dies of 'sudden heart failure' with a face of terror on her, Reiko investigates. Shes finds out that some of Tomoko's friends who had been on a holiday with Tomoko the week before had died on exactly the same night at the exact same time in the exact same way.



Reiko goes to the cabin where the teens had stayed and finds an 'unlabled' video tape. Reiko watched the tape to discover its the 'cursed videotape'. Ex Husband Ryuji helps Reiko solve the mystery, Reiko makes a copy for him. Things become more tense when her son Yoichi watches the tape saying Tomoko had told him too. They discovery takes them to a volcanic island where they discover that the video has a connection to a Pyscic who died 30 years ago, and her child Sadako...

Being a low budget movie doesn’t hinder Oneechanbara on making good quality scenes that could match any game adaptation movies. The acting is pretty cool considering Eri Otoguro a gravure idol. But come to think of it, Aya rarely speaks so her acting is more prominent.



Considering the movie as a gore, there’s little to minimal gore at all in the movie, unlike the Oneechanbara VorteX movie. So you can be safe from having a feeling of your stomach turning upsidedown. LOL. That’s why as much as possible, I don’t want to watch gore movies. XD



Overall, I can rate the move 4 stars over 5. Why? Because there’s some questions left unanswered, like “why is Aya only wearing a bikini and cowboy hat?”, “why is Reiko’s shotgun have unlimited ammunition (did she used a cheat ^^)?”, and Maria’s back story.

Review

After being released from prison, Max and his fiancée Roxanne wish to have a fresh restart of their lives running a small dining of their own. However, the bank refuses to loan US$ 50,000.00 to them and without alternatives, Max accepts the invitation of his former partner Sydney and his associate Vince to participate in the kidnapping of the eight year old David, the son of a wealthy woman in New England, under the command of a mysterious leader.



The quartet drives with the boy to a camping area in Maine, closed in the cold winter, where they are individually disturbed by whispers that affects their behaviors until Max discloses the dark secret about David and his mother.

At the end of the Ice Age, The Machine came from the outer space with the purpose to change men into mutants. However, a hero defeated the device and a great seal was laid over The Machine.



In 2707, the depleted world is ruled by four Corporations: Mishima, Bauhaus, Capitol and Imperial that are in constant war. During a battle between Capitol and Bauhaus, the great seal is broken and The Machine works again transforming soldiers and civilians in hordes of mutants.



A small part of the population escapes to Mars, leaving millions of people behind. The man of faith and leader of an ancient brotherhood Brother Samuel is a believer of God and the Chronicles, a bible about the mutants. With the city under siege of the mutants, he visits the Corporations' leader Constantine asking for an aircraft and twenty men for a suicide mission to destroy The Machine, planting a bomb and a detonator following the knowledge of the Chronicles.
