In a world 10 years into the future, vampires make up the vast majority of the population with only 5% of the human race remaining. This presents particular challenges as the vampires' food supply - human blood - is dwindling and rationing is now the norm.



There is growing evidence that vampires deprived of an adequate blood supply are themselves evolving into wild, vile creatures that attack anyone and anything in order to survive.



Dr. Edward Dalton, a vampire and hematologist who works for a pharmaceutical firm, has been working on finding an artificial blood supply that will meet the vampire society's needs. The editor of a fashion magazine Ariel Wolfe receives many calls from her sister Sara, but she does not return.

In Bangkok, the groom Mak is scared, having successive nightmares with a ghost woman, Mae Nak, an ancient Thai legend. He meets his beloved fiancée Nak to visit an old house in Phrakhanong with the unscrupulous real state agent Angel and they decide to buy the property.



After their wedding, two small time thieves break into the house and steal their gifts and other objects. When Mak sees the criminals on the streets of Bangkok selling his goods, he chases the burglars and they run their van over Mak, who gets into a deep coma.



Mae Nak protects the young couple against Angel and the burglars, but in return she holds the soul of Mak. Nak finds the remains of Mae Nak in an ancient cemetery, and with some monks, they exorcise Mae Nak from Mak and release her spirit.

In the first five minutes of “The Last House in the Woods” a young boy survives a car accident that kills his father, then escapes the car with his mother only to have her be hit by a truck when she pushes the boy out of the way. Then, as the not-quite-dead mother is writhing in a pool of her own blood on the dark, lonely street, the driver gets out of his truck, picks up a heavy rock and proceeds to repeatedly bash her head in.



All this is happening as the boy, safely hidden in the woods on the side of the road, watches in shock. The boy runs off, we meet a different set of characters and, aside from the occasional time-filling flashback shot of the kid running through the woods, this whole incident isn't mentioned or referenced again until the end of the movie. For better or worse, that's the kind of movie “The Last House in the Woods” is – a throwback to the exploitation films of the 70s that were more interested in blood, guts and a twisty plots than they were in making any kind of sense.

The family man Abe Dale is having lunch with his wife and son in a restaurant, when a man kills them in front of Abe and shots himself in the mouth. His Near Death Experience makes him see white light in some people and to hear Electronic Voice Phenomena, i.e., manifestations of voices of ghosts or spirits through static on electronic devices. While watching to a video recorded by his son, Abe finds that the killer had save the lives of his wife and son three days before the murder. With blood soaked twists, directors Tero Molin and Tommi Lepola create a Skeleton Crew that is an enjoyably grue strewn adventure.



Tero and Temmu Molin’s script concerns a Finnish film crew recreating a fictionalized version of murders that took place thirty years hence. Of course, these dedicated professionals are filming in the asylum where the bloodshed originally occurred and once the tapes of the original murders are uncovered, hell naturally erupts within the confines of the old crazy house’s walls. Indeed, the dedicated director takes it upon himself to make sure that all the torturous death scenes are very, very accurate!



Molin and Lepola work well by allowing the bleak surroundings to became paramount to the film’s success and the cast and crew are just memorably annoying enough to truly enjoy watching Steve Porter (alternatingly humorous and truly frightening as the increasingly addled director) find excessively body punishing ways to pick them off.



Indeed, the Molins’ last revelation also adds a slight tang of originality to this fun yet tried and true piece making Skeleton Crew a horror film that one truly wants to – ahem – watch from start to ‘Finnish’!

Prior to Christmas break, a young woman Emily Blunt (listed in credits simply as "girl") accepts the idea from a cell phone texting session to use the campus "Ride Share" program as an alternative to riding the bus back home to Delaware. Finding a posting on a bulletin board, she catches a ride home from a stranger, Ashton Holmes (listed in credits simply as "guy").

She arrives late to her ride, finding guy sleeping in his car, a late model sedan. The Mummy

In August, 1939, a worker has an abortion while working in a slaughterhouse and dies. The deformed baby is dumped in a garbage container and found by a beggar later, who brings him home. Along the years, the freak creature called Thomas is raised by the Hewitt family in spite of having psychological problems, working in a meat plant. In July, 1969, when the facility is closed, the inhabitants move to other places, but the deformed insane Thomas kills the foreman. His deranged stepfather executes the sheriff that is going to arrest Thomas, and assumes his identity, wearing his clothes, driving his car though the roads in Texas and entitling himself as Sheriff Hoyt. Meanwhile, the brothers Eric and Dean are traveling in a Jeep with their girlfriends Christie and Bailey, Eric to serve in Vietnam and Dean escaping to Mexico. Sinopsis
